Christmas 2014
Welcome to MamaBaer's Musings, a place where I will ramble on about life in general with a little of my own take on things. I'll be sure to add a lot of pics of the grankids because. . . well. . . I can.
I welcome opinions, comments and questions etc.
This is a work in progress. I think it will be fun.

Blog Revival 2014
Fall 2014
I have not blogged in quite a while. Okay like three years. I was watching Julie & Julia the other night and decided I should blog. But tonight I read a really awesome blog from a mother of three who was praying for the mother of her children's eventual spouses. (http://teachmetobraid.blogspot.com/ OMG...I started crying. So then I decided I am for sure going to revive my blog page. I don't think anyone else reads these but that's okay. Someday when I am famous they will come across these archives and say wow, I wish we had read these when she was still alive. LOL
There are so many things I want to talk about. I am getting excited to go home next month for a visit. My husband, Phillip is going, too. He has not been home with me since 1995, almost 20 years. I have been about seven times without him. He has never been keen on flying but he said he was okay with it. Once I bought the tickets I told him there was no backing out. I can't wait. It's been two years since my last visit. Fall is always my favorite time of year in New England.
The State Fair of Texas is on now and I really want to go to it. I may go to a meet up of Street Photographers who are meeting at the fair in about two weeks. It sounds like fun.
I got a new camera this year. I have taken a couple of classes. Street photography sounds like something I would like to pursue.
I have not painted a whole lot this year. I did one about three weeks ago, first time since March. I need to go more. It's just hard to find time. I find it so relaxing and fun.
I found a little dog a few months ago. She was walking down the ramp to get on the freeway. I-30. I was afraid she would get hit or cause an accident. I pulled over and had to wait for some cars to swerve around her. Then I picked her up and brought her home. I tried to find her owners but to no avail. So I finally took her to the vet for shots and a check up. Well she had heartworm. I had her treated which was expensive and scary. She made it through and so we kept her. Her name is Penny. She is a cute little Chihuahua which I never thought I would own. But she worked her way into our hearts and is part of our family now. Even Bailey and the cats get along with her, for the most part. Clyde likes to take a swipe at her once in a while.
That's all I have for tonight. More to come. Hopefully something interesting or thought provoking.
