Welcome to MamaBaer's Musings, a place where I will ramble on about life in general with a little of my own take on things. I'll be sure to add a lot of pics of the grankids because. . . well. . . I can.
I welcome opinions, comments and questions etc.
This is a work in progress. I think it will be fun.

Seussical The Musical

Tonight I have a date with Caden. We are going to see the Garland Civic Theatre's, Children On Stage production of Seussical the Musical. We are going out for dinner before the theatre. He is very excited about going. I am too. I'll post again later and let you know how it was.

Cowboys and Ponies

I remember as a little kid anxiously awaiting the times we would go to the Pony Ranch on Roseneath Ave. I think it cost a dime. We would go and wait our turn. I always wanted the biggest pony but my sister would get it because she was bigger. The ponies would walk around a fenced pen about three times. To me it was a thrill to ride all by myself. The littler kids would be led by the workers there. Turns out they were Mr. Douglas's grandsons. Who would have known that I would grow up to marry one of them. Of course the pony ranch was long gone by the time Bruce and I started dating.

So, today I took my grandsons for a pony ride. When Caden found out we were going, he decided he needed to bring his hat. He looked so cute. Both the boys brought neckerchiefs but Caden left his in the car. This wasn't quite on the grand scale as their Great Grandfather's pony ranch but it is the same place I took their mother when she was about Caden's age. Sadly, I never took any pictures of her ride.

They had fun. So did Nana.

Dear Diary

Today was a better day at work. Everyone was back. Dianna, Shelly, Dale. It wasn't too busy and things went smoothly. One more day and I will be off. Hurray.

I didn't go to the gym tonight. My hip was hurting today. I think I overdid it yesterday. I will go tomorrow. I am making a point to go at least three days a week. I bought a Yoga DVD for beginners. I think I will do that on my off nights. I want to get an MP3 player. I was looking at some tonight. I don't need an ipod. They are way over priced. I saw a 4Gb other brand for like $80. It looked nice. Maybe next payday.

The summer is going by so fast. Poor Chris only has 2.5 weeks left. Summer band camp starts August 4. All day long.

He just got back from his last BS summer camp. He will have one more Youth camp next year for church unless he is working. I hope he can get a parttime job this year so he can get a car.

Well, I have been wasting enough time on this puter for one evening.

Good night.
