Welcome to MamaBaer's Musings, a place where I will ramble on about life in general with a little of my own take on things. I'll be sure to add a lot of pics of the grankids because. . . well. . . I can.
I welcome opinions, comments and questions etc.
This is a work in progress. I think it will be fun.

Cowboys and Ponies

I remember as a little kid anxiously awaiting the times we would go to the Pony Ranch on Roseneath Ave. I think it cost a dime. We would go and wait our turn. I always wanted the biggest pony but my sister would get it because she was bigger. The ponies would walk around a fenced pen about three times. To me it was a thrill to ride all by myself. The littler kids would be led by the workers there. Turns out they were Mr. Douglas's grandsons. Who would have known that I would grow up to marry one of them. Of course the pony ranch was long gone by the time Bruce and I started dating.

So, today I took my grandsons for a pony ride. When Caden found out we were going, he decided he needed to bring his hat. He looked so cute. Both the boys brought neckerchiefs but Caden left his in the car. This wasn't quite on the grand scale as their Great Grandfather's pony ranch but it is the same place I took their mother when she was about Caden's age. Sadly, I never took any pictures of her ride.

They had fun. So did Nana.
